EZE Breeze Screened Porch with T&G Wood Floor in Davidson, NC

Deckscapes designed and built this porch in the Davidson, NC area.  We worked closely with the homeowner to understand what they were looking for in an outdoor room and how we could work together to accomplish their vision.  The floor of the porch is 5" Tongue and Groove treated pine decking.  It was stained with a Sherwin Williams oil based stain to match their interior hardwood flooring.  The porch walls are constructed with 6"x6" Cox laminated columns and a 2x6 mid rail along with black, round aluminum ballusters.  EZE Breeze vertical 4 Track porch windows in white frames and charcoal fiberglass screens were added to the exterior along with glass window panes in all the gable areas.  The porch roof is a shed roof design with an open gable in the center.  This makes trimming the ceiling slightly more difficult but really adds to the look and openness of the room's final feel (plus we love the way it looks when completed).  Recessed lighting (6 cans) and 2 Hunter ceiling fans were added to the ceiling.  A dimmer switch was added to the lights to really give the room some ambiance at night.  The ceiling was finished in a Sherwin Williams semi transparent stain and the walls were painted white to match the house exterior trim.  To complete the final product we added a 1x4 English lattice around the perimeter and painted it white to match the porch.  We added some speakers inside the porch and a 36" Larson Savannah storm door from the stairs down to the paver patio.  After the room was tastefully decorated by our clients I know that they will really Enjoy Being Outside.

EZE Breeze Porch with Fireplace and Paver Patio

Deckscapes designed and built this beautiful rear porch in February of 2018.  These clients live in the Selwyn area of Charlotte. They originally had an aging rear deck that was falling apart and not very functional and a water drainage problem in their backyard.  We built the porch large enough to accommodate guests sitting at the fireplace or  just enjoying a nice dinner with friends.  We used Cox deck boards for the flooring and stained them to match the exposed beams on the ceiling.  We added EZE Breeze porch windows on the outside so the clients can open them up to allow in a gentle breeze or close them up to stop annoying pollen or rain from coming in.   The ceiling is a flat V-Groove tongue and groove with exposed large beams stained in a dark chestnut color.  We added a gas fireplace with stone that matched their existing fireplace.  The fireplace mantle is a very old piece of wormy chestnut 4"x12" that our clients just love.  Its very rustic and look awesome.  We also removed an old French door and replaced it with a new 6' wide French door which opens out to the porch room.  We finished off the ceiling with 2 very attractive Hunter fans and 6 recessed cans which operate with a dimmer.  Outside the porch we added a large, functional paver patio using Pavestone untumbled pavers in a 2 piece design with a border to match and a seating wall which was added to help with their initial drainage problem.   Overall, this porch and patio came out awesome and I hope our clients enjoy many years of great times with their family or friends.  Deckscapes goal is always to make sure out customers Enjoy Being Outside this project should do just that.  Enjoy!

Screened Porch with Wood Burning Fireplace and Paver Patio

This a beautiful screened porch that we built in Fort Mill, SC in the Springfield neighborhood.  We started by extending the concrete floor out and pouring a large footing for the large wood burning fireplace.  From there we built the screened porch and then the fireplace followed.  The porch uses an aluminum screen track system with a darker screen for added privacy.  To finish off the ceiling we used a beaded pine board with a matching pine trim and sealed it with a Sherwin Williams semi transparent wood stain.  The fireplace was veneered with natural stone, hearth and mantle along with a large wood storage outside of the fireplace.  Afterwards we built large paver patio with rounded edges and a step off into the yard.  This project turned out to be very fun to build and very functional for the entire family.  We always want you to Enjoy Being Outside.

Trex Deck with Trex Lighting and Paver Patio in Waxhaw NC

Deckscapes built this beautiful, elevated Trex deck along with a tumbled paver patio in the Waxhaw, NC area.  The homeowners asked us to give them a very usable deck area for entertaining family and friends and then a lower paver patio that would be an extension of their concrete patio without compromising their view from below.  They wanted larger support columns with stone bases to give the deck a very majestic look from their yard.  The Trex Transcends decking was Spiced Rum color with a matching border.  We used hidden fasteners and grooved decking to eliminate any visible fasteners.  The railing was also Trex Transcends 6x6 white post sleeves with white railing and black, round Trex ballusters.  We added a Spiced Rum square edge decking board on the top cap to complete the Cocktail Rail look.  All of the outer fascia, stair risers, stringers, and beams and columns were wrapped in Trex PVC boards to match the railing.  To really give the deck some depth and ambiance at night we added some Trex LED post cap lights, eyeball lights, and stair riser lights.  The patio below consists of 3 pc tumbled Belgard pavers and a matching retaining wall to hold back the uneven grade behind it.  I know our client will really Enjoy Being Outdoors and spending valuable family time dining on their new deck or hanging by the fire pit on their new paver patio.

Trex Deck, Pergola and Urbana Tumbled Pavers

Deckscapes designed and built this project for our client in south Charlotte earlier this year.  The reason I liked this project so much was the transition from what the backyard looked like to the finished project.  The yard was in complete disarrayIt had an old deck and pergola that was barely standing.  I wish I had the 'before' picture to show you.   We started by removing the old deck, large pergola, faulty wiring, crumbling fire pit and numerous bushes and trees.  Then we built a small but functional Trex deck using Trex Transcends Spiced Rum decking with hidden fasteners and a Trex Transcends railing in White with black aluminum ballusters.  Next we built the large pergola using Pressure Treated Pine.  The beams and rafters have a scrolled cut on the ends for an attractive look.  We wired the pergola for a future ceiling fan and a switch on the 6x6 column.  After the pergola was constructed, we graded the yard and readied the area for the pavers.  We installed approximately 460 square feet of  Belgard Urbana tumbled pavers along with a matching border and step down to the yard.  Then we installed the Belgard stone about a third of the way up the 6x6 posts to finish off the look.  Lastly we installed new sod around the new site to really give the project that finished look.  I loved the way it turned out and I know our clients loved it too. This yard transition by Deckscapes will really help them to Enjoy Being Outside.
